Let’s get started with some storage options. There is nothing wrong with using cardboard boxes, but if you know you’re moving in advance keep this in the back of your mind and gradually start to save packaging you receive to help save on moving costs.

It will be super helpful to keep a detailed schedule and checklist, to ensure nothing is left to the last minute. Keeping an achievable to-do list is handy to keep the move on track and makes it simple to delegate tasks.

TIPS to consider when on the move;

• First things first, you need a good playlist to get into the organisation zone
• If you haven’t used an item in the last 12 months and don’t plan on using it anytime soon donate it, less packing the better
• Get supplies and have a look around online for people giving away moving boxes they no longer need
• Leave your clothes on the hangers! This removes the hassle of folding or re-hanging when moving
• Decide if you require the assistance of professional movers, if so book in early!
• Don’t forget to notify all your utilities providers you are moving and keep them notified of your moving schedule to ensure you’re not unpacking in the dark

Tracking what is packed in each box is truly beneficial when it comes time to unpack. We recommend capturing photos of what is in each box to avoid rummaging through containers to find exactly what you’re looking for.
